I recently caved in and splurged on a totally unnecessary McCartney 3x3 coloured vinyl (ended up with the splatter design) so I'm annoyingly partial to this sort of thing. Might grab one if I can.

Who's planning to pop into their record shop on Saturday then? Might have a look for the Parklife vinyl if I can.

I missed out. Boo! Left it too late in the day with family stuff occupying my morning. Was just beaten to the last copy in Rough Trade Bristol. Literally saw the guy snaffle it in front of me (well done whoever you were!) and the shop assistant confirmed it was the last one they had. Told me they had been selling A LOT of them.

I had naively assumed might not be too in demand based on how little effort I needed to make to grab the Special Collector’s Edition vinyl last year. I picked one up days later online with no difficulty at all.

Anyone get lucky?

Blur also sold out just after opening at my local record store, as did Gorillaz which was the release I was actually after. Luckily found Gorillaz elsewhere though!

Had to pay over the odds on eBay.

First one I ordered, the plonker thought it appropriate to use the post offices free packaging, which is less robust than a sandwich bag. I wanted my money back with all the creasing and so on, but the fact it was the standard vinyl version as well..! I paid just under £90 for the correct version in the end.

Yeah, got money back on the first order. I must've spent £300 on vinyl the last month. Think I have a problem. I normally just put them straight on the shelf when they arrive.

Yeah. You’re not alone with that problem. I have stuff sitting on shelves in their shrink wrap.
