Blur related tattoo

Post by ma.r.ty »

Hello everyone,

I know this topic has been discussed on many sites throughout the internet, but still I would like to ask you lot here and would love your advice as I am going to have my very first tattoo (or maybe first two tattoos: forearm or/and calf) and think about having something related to Blur (not keen on a picture, so pls do not come up with the milk from Coffee&TV or Grahams' illustrations or Damons' Dr.Dee star), preferably few words, part of the lyrics...

The best idea so far seem these two>

forearm (vertically)>

calf>

including the used fonts.

... but I am still not convinced.

What do you say? Thanks for you help!

What’s your favorite Blur song lyric?

Does Modern Life is Rubbish mean something to you?

As someone who has a tattoo that she wishes she didn’t get my biggest advice is not to get a tattoo unless you’re 100% in love with it. Pick something that has meaning to you not something that you think others will like.

Hello and thank you for your reaction.

I see what you mean and it makes perfect sense to me. I have not decided to go for it yet, still not 100% sure, but at this very moment I think I would like it. Still I know I should come up with something that is both personal and at the same time Universal :D and both "very Blur" and yet understandable, both nice to look at and yet not attracting a lot of attention. And it does not exclude the possibility that I may regret that very idea (of getting a tattoo done) in the future.

Yes, the phrase "Modern life is rubbish" means quite a lot to me. Going back to my adolescent years and the formative influence it (the album) had on me. Not mentioning the fact that I am an old fart now and the phrase fully reflects my general attitude towards the world and society today ;)

And "No distance left to run" in connnection with a leg (where I visualise to have it)... you know...
